Posted By bubba2 4 months, 2 weeks ago in FamilyOver 4 dozen teams are working in Anbar province with dogs that are trained to attack and subdue detainees and track insurgents. Nowadays, the dogs are used primarily to detect explosives, on or off a leash and as much as 500 feet from their handlers. Since the war started, 2 handlers have been killed and 4 dogs and 7 handlers have been wounded.
