      That's incorrect. There was a million-dollar liability insurance slapped on those dogs, and other groups such as LawDogsUsa (that trains and uses, and/or rehabs, pitbulls for police and SAR work), wanted to take some of them but couldn't afford it.

      PETA does have a point that most fighting dogs don't get to spend the remainder of their lives at a place like BestFriends but that's as much as I'll give them.

      They're not pitbulls first. They are animals first, dogs second, and pitbulls third. Any abused animal/dog will require special care and attention but we don't give up on so many others that have been misused, abused, neglected, and screwed up. And it's not like any of these dogs will be adopted out to just anyone.
